Marilyn Eiland has been active in the real estate profession since 1972.   Her involvement in management and training began in l978, when she joined Gary Greene Realtors® Better Homes and Gardens as their Training Director. Over the years, Marilyn broadened her role and responsibilities with the company and ultimately became the General Manager. She served as a Director for both the Houston Association of Realtors® and the Texas Association of Realtors® and was the 1990 President of the Texas Chapter of CRB. 

In March 2000, 22 years after her first association with the firm, Marilyn became President and Partner in Prudential Gary Greene, Realtors® which now has over 1,000 associates and 19 office locations throughout the greater Houston area. In 2007, according to the Houston Association of Realtors® Broker Ranking Report, Prudential Gary Greene Realtors® concluded the year with more listings, more dollar volume sold and more listings sold than any other broker in Houston.

In 2005, Marilyn was commissioned a “Yellow Rose of Texas” by Governor Rick Perry.

Marilyn and her partner, Mark Woodroof, have worked to raise money donating hours, staff and funds each year and in 2007, the Sunshine Kids organization was presented with a check for $373,000 from Prudential Gary Greene, Realtors.

Since 1985 Mark has been active in Residential Real Estate brokerage management serving in a variety of leadership roles. Beginning his career in Houston with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, he relocated to Atlanta in 1986 affording him the opportunity to work with Realtors in many different markets around the country. Upon returning to Houston in 1990, he was responsible for supporting brokerage operations in both the Houston and Dallas-Ft Worth Metroplex. In 1993, he joined ERA Franchise Systems where he was responsible for Sales and Service across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. In 1996, Mark associated with Gary Greene, Realtors, Better Homes and Gardens where he was responsible for the company’s business development activities.

In March 2000 Mark became a principal in Prudential Gary Greene, Realtors®. This new entity was formed with partners Marilyn Eiland and Bill McIlwain by acquiring the residential assets of Gary Greene, Realtors®, Better Homes and Gardens and four Prudential affiliates, subsequently creating a market-leading force of nearly 1000 associates in 24 owned and affiliated offices throughout the greater Houston area. Today, Mark Woodroof and Marilyn Eiland are the partners and the company has grown to 28 offices with 9 affiliate offices.

Mark has been actively involved with the Houston Association of Realtors® since 1991, serving as its chairman in 1999. He has also been active with both the state and national associations serving on numerous committees and is a past director of both organizations.
